Bringing APPLES back to Applewood
Growing Greener
Less Lawn.
Healthy cities need healthy ecosystems.
Mississauga has an opportunity to become one of Canada's greenest cities by investing in nature-based solutions that improve quality of life while preparing for climate change.
I support expanding:
- Community gardens
- Native plant landscaping
- Pollinator gardens
- Urban tree planting
- Rain gardens and green infrastructure
- Naturalized parks and public spaces
These improvements make neighbourhoods more beautiful while helping reduce flooding, improving biodiversity, lowering temperatures during heat waves, and creating places where residents can gather and connect.

More Life.
Green space is not vacant land waiting to be developed.
Parks, trails, forests, and waterfront spaces improve physical and mental health, support wildlife, and strengthen neighbourhoods.
Rather than sacrificing existing green spaces, Mississauga should prioritize redevelopment of:
- Underused plazas
- Surface parking lots
- Vacant commercial properties
- Aging industrial lands
We can create more housing while preserving the parks and natural spaces residents already enjoy.
